Module 2:
Yoga has become a commonplace practice around the world taking on countless forms. Even though traditionally a spiritual practice, yoga’s various tools can be used to promote physical and mental health and well-being. Its spiritual benefits aside, there is no doubt of the benefits yoga offers the body and the mind.
Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras is the foundational work on Yoga philosophy. It is the best known and least understood text on the subject. In this Course we will study the theology and philosophy of Patañjali in the Four chapters Samaadhi Paada, Saadhana Paada, Vibhuti Pada, Kaivalya Pada.
Over the course of 60 Hours, we will study the ideas of traditional yoga and embark on a journey of self-discovery, unlocking a deeper inner wisdom.
Using the wisdom from classic texts such as Yoga Sutras,Mahabharata, Ramayana,..etc we will discuss the main concepts of yoga and how to utilize these in daily life. Through this process, students will uncover obstacles that may be limiting their progress toward achieving the ultimate goal of yoga.

- Meditation (pratyahara and dharana) techniques that address deeper aspects of the human psyche.
- Progressive relaxation techniques such as a deep, multi-level shavasana and various stages of yoga nidra
- Lifestyle yama-niyamas as given by Maharishi Patanjali
- Discourses by Acharya ji on yogic understanding of the body, prana and mind.
- Discourses on the rich history and tradition of yoga which occupies a unique place in the six ancient darshanas (philosophies) of Bharat
- Discourses on Hatha Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga.
